Best Of LEGO Bootlegs

That almost looks 3d printed.

I think it is. The head especially has that look of just printed material with no cleanup.

It’s not 3d printed. I got one out of a local coin machine a while ago.

that doesn’t mean it’s not printed

It’s really easy to tell that it’s not 3d printed. It’s clearly a cheap plastic. It’s missing the key characteristics of an fdm 3d print, such as noticeable layers. One could argue that it was printed with an sla printer, but it would cost a lot more to print something on a machine like that than to mold it.

I didn’t know Jack Nicholson was worthy of Mjolnir.

Notes about this set:

  • plastic quality is excellent. Indistinguishable from Lego imo. Even the shade of gold is a perfect match.

  • the build is very solid and stands up well.

  • hard to see with all the armor, but there is no waist or torso articulation. But there are 8 ball joints - shoulders, hips, knees, and elbows. The sockets are tight and firm, just like Lego.

  • the armor is interesting. It’s a thick plastic sort of paper. Really sturdy though. And the graphics on it are excellent quality. Attaching them correctly is a serious challenge. But they don’t fall off. The shoulder armor is attached to hinged panels, so they can move with the arms. The hip and waist armor does limit leg movement though.

  • the face, foot, chest and belly graphics are stickers. They were easy to apply and seem to be adhering really well to the blocks. There are at least ten more stickers that I didn’t put on.

  • the weapon is probably the weakest part. The golden ends aren’t the most stable. But the hand holds it really well at least.

Why do these knockoffs love deadpool so much?

New theory: Every Lego knockoff is made by Deadpool.

Seems like a deadpool thing to do.

I have 1 question: why pink?

Becuase why not? Don’t you remember when deadpool became an entire power ranger team on his own?

Because Deadpool is one of the most popular superheroes right now.
