Hour of Heroes - Signups (OOC Topic)

There’s enough players.

Tomorrow I’ll get the RP topic opened up, and we can get this started.

I’m honestly surprised there haven’t been more players. It seems like it would be a pretty popular RP, but here we are.

You can always help by telling your friends about it, y’know.

Name: Knute CC-11
Alias: Armageddon
Gender: Male
Appearance: Armageddon’s lower arms have been drastically modified for usage in combat, given his history. They are constructed out of a darker metal, along with his head and face, with piercing red eyes. His body is red and blue, with silver tones mixed in, and he is very tall. He wears a brown cape at all times which has been treated to become flameproof.
Weapons/Abilities
-1: Armageddon’s Arms are enhanced to greatly increase his striking power and durability in those areas, letting him punch through solid stone with ease. As well, his arms are also modified with thrusters and gas release valves which lead into a combustion chamber inside his body. He can send his fists shooting out at lightning speeds, then open the gas valves in his hands to send massive bursts of flame with every punch he makes, sometimes being enough to cause small explosions.
-2: Armageddon’s entire body has been reinforced heavily to resist against plasma attacks along with gunfire and bladed weapons. He will often expose himself to threats of that nature to test its durability and see if any part may be wearing down.
-3: Null
Personality/Weaknesses: Armageddon is extremely savage. Whereas Von Nebula is a plotting villain, Armageddon is a beatdown brawler who isn’t afraid to do things entirely on his own. Driven by anger, Armageddon vows to eliminate all of Hero Factory and conquer Makuhero city… Whatever good that does.
Bio: Armageddon used to be Knute CC-11, a boxing robot, and one of the biggest ever made. Unfortunately he was modified to be just slightly too intelligent, and over the course of several years convinced his creators to make him exceedingly knowledgeable of the world around him. He then killed his owners and went on a rampage before being shut down by Stringer and Bulk, although he escaped capture at the last second. He’s back now, and with a few friends.

Name: None
Alias: Detlas
Gender: Male
Appearance: Detlas is a rolling war machine. Armed to the teeth, he wears a yellow and black colourscheme. He is nefarious and cruel, and his appearance shows it.

Older photo.
Weapons/Abilities
-1: Detlas carries an extremely high-power sniper rifle with explosive rounds which he can fire in quick succession. These can cause small explosions to occur and damage the surrounding area, and if a target struck by one is weak enough, there is nothing left of them. They work with magazines which hold three bullets each, and Detlas contains a large supply.
-2: Detlas has four extra mechanical arms across his chest which loop back under his armour and are actually somewhat long. They have blunt, simplistic hands on them, but they can be a bit much in a scuffle. Detlas is extremely proficient with using them in unison, and often multitasks with them.
-3: Detlas’ base has a massive thruster ring built into it, and can carry him - slowly - off the ground. The flame it creates is powerful enough to eat through solid steel in less than a minute, and Detlas is very proficient at flying with it.
Personality/Weaknesses: Detlas is as blunt as a brick and as stubborn as a mule. If given a task he will burn out every resource in his body to see the task done. However, there are obvious memories he is attempting to suppress, something of what he once was…
Bio: Detlas was once a Hero - Did he have a name? Maybe he never did. Or wait, maybe he wasn’t a hero, maybe he killed a hero and rebuilt himself with his parts. No, no, that doesn’t seem right, how would he have a burned-out fragment of Quaza in his heart if he did? Wait - maybe it was one of the construction workers he slaughtered the first day he remembered anything. Well, regardless, there were all the dead construction workers, and there was Armageddon, who promised him a new life if he would ally himself with him. A deal he couldn’t refuse.

The Magma Blades are part of a slightly older line of new weapons. They are small, compact, and easy to wield. The front section of each of them can shot beams of super-charged plasma, resulting in it being orange-ish and hotter than the other types of fire produced by the other weapons from the same line. The Magma Blades are also able to create solid blades of incandescent plasma, much like a weaker Light Saber, able to cut through weaker metals or solid materials with a low burning point.
The first Magma Blades created by the Factory were given to the rookie leader of the Alpha 1 team, Furno, who eventually lost them in a fight with Jawblade. The Scyllan found a local engineer that was able to modify them to work underwater. So while the HF built more regular Magma Blades, the Scyllan egineer built a few more pairs of modified Blades before got caught and captured. Jawblade kept the originals, while Steeljaw got one green version.
The Magma Blades contain an advanced plasma generator that is behind the creation of the plasma and the blade itself. Again, just like a Light Saber.
Each Magma Blade also has a port at the end of it’s handle, making it able to combine with another blade, creating a bigger and more powerful weapon. This is the configuration Furno chose to use in the first season of HF.

Is it enough?

But what are your in-game limitations?

The Magma Blades have only one limitation: it’s battery. As long as it is more than five % charged, the user can wield it freely without real limitations (although after the energy level gets lower than 20% the energy of tha plasma blasts will be slightly lower). However, it is easy to recharge. On the dide of a weapon there is a pin whole slot that can connect to any power source. It takes three hours to fully charge.

In total, I’ll accept it. Edit that into Steeljaw’s profile and I’ll approve him.

Name: Maya Skewer
Alias: She-Who-Steps-On-Rookies
Gender: Female
Appearance: Burnt orange colourscheme, has one eye missing replaced with a powerful scope, has a green Hero core
Weapons/Abilities
-1: Skewer has a flexible spear which can automatically weave through the air to find its target. The end can superheat to let it cut through metal plating. When in her hand, it can also function as a whip or flail.
-2: Skewer has a small sidearm, an electricity blaster identical to the ones used by Von Ness and Mark Surge. If used too frequently in succession it has a short cooldown time.
-3: Skewer has high-level combat training and is able to easily best most of her opponents in the Hero field. She will often challenge confident rookies to a fist fight and leave it to the others to sweep up what’s left.
Personality/Weaknesses: Skewer always maintains a “tough guy” personality whenever she can, although when she’s not on the field she’s extremely reasonable and loves to talk. She doesn’t have much to regret in life, only that ill-usage in harsh areas for long periods and a refusal to get patched up has left her joints brittle, which effects her off-duty, and she can never seem to establish a friendship with Mr. Makuro himself.
Bio: Skewer was one of the first Heroes off the assembly line, and as soon as she was allowed to train she proved extremely capable. Against orders she left to isolate herself alone in the harshest of planetary systems, pitting herself against raging sands constantly. By the time she was located she had not only toughened through the unforgiving area but managed to apprehend, entirely on her own and without any proper weapons, a wanted rogue taking refuge there. Now she’s been tasked with seeing to these new rookies and those who have been lingering for years but haven’t done much.

Name: Wallace Winters
Alias: Metaform
Gender: Male
Appearance: Metaform appears to be a short, thin worm-like being with multiple small limbs and a black head with a construction hat always attached. His body alternates with yellow and black halves of each section. He has two small red eyes, always alert, and always darting around.
Weapons/Abilities
-1: Metaform can reconstruct his physical form however he chooses, letting him slip through even the most impossibly small places (can reconstruct himself to fit through a gap only an inch big). His main form always stays the same, and he can reconstruct himself to fit into notches, over surfaces, or quickly smother someone smaller than him. Although smaller in stature than a hero, Metaform is definitely taller on end.
-2: Null
-3: Null
Personality/Weaknesses: Metaform is shy, unused to committing crimes, and very opposed to the concept of killing anyone. One time he accidentally smothered a suspicious guard so hard he broke his neck components, and was shaken up for a whole month, refusing to do anything but mope and shake like a V8.
Bio: Metaform wasn’t the result of some freak accident. He was a youngish construction worker who signed up to be altered into a far more efficient tool for electrical work. His body was transformed to allow him to fit through the smallest of passages, although he lost his original form. Feeling shunned by his coworkers for his appearance, and depressed from people leaving the block he was located in, he was eventually approached by a large mechanical being named Armageddon with a simple proposition he simply couldn’t refuse, especially with Detlas’ large, cyclops face staring him down.

@Samtastictogo you only do OOC when you are saying something that isn’t in the story. So you don’t need to OOC for setting a scene like that.

I’ll edit it when I can get to a computer. Do I still have an open spot for a weapon?

Oh ok

Yeah, I’d say Steeljaw can have another weapon/ability.

What would be the best way to introduce my character?

You could have him choose this moment as a way to attack, possibly have him spot Armageddon and follow him, wait for Detlas to show up and try to engage him… There’s a lot of options.

Also, @TheMOCingbird I’d prefer you preface your post with IC. If enough people would prefer not to I’ll abolish the idea, but for now try to preface them.

ok, I’ll do my best to remember

wait, how is she motioning for Bracer to get down, he’s still in the distance on his motorcycle

She can’t take chances here. Whoever caused those explosives was able to trigger two within a couple seconds, and a third in the middle of the square. She needs to make sure that Bracer lays low as soon as possible or he just may find his head a little… Missing.
