Life-size sword: Wavecrest

This sword is based on a doodle I did in class. It’s supposed to exude grace and dignity.

With respect to the blade, making curvy things has always been a weakness of Legos. That’s why sometimes you have to break the rules. I could’ve faked a curve by layering plates, like pixel art (like the other swords you see online) but that’s not good enough. I could’ve tried to use slope pieces instead of fabric, but it wouldn’t be the same.

That’s an interesting idea. I’m not sure how to translate the themes of the sword onto a shield though.

you could do a fancy circular repeating wave design in tan and gold, then the rest on the shield would be light grey with dark grey patterns. (And maybe a gold handle.)

The usage of pink and dark pink is quite interesting, and the shaping of the blade is very good. Nice job.
