Those who’ve listened to Brickfeed for a while may be aware that prior to Brickfair Virginia 2017 I began to work on and completed minifigures representing the TTV cast. I opted to make them uniform yellow due to the complexity of natural flesh-tones and consulted with every host about their respective minifigure. Today, I’d like to show them off in high-quality.
These will be in order of appearance. Obviously, I’m limited to what LEGO pieces are in existence so they aren’t 1:1 or anything, but close enough to make the people they represent happy. At the end of the day, that’s all I care about.
Mesonak

Meso’s is a bit of a Frankenstein’s monster. The arms and torso did not come from the same minifigure, and as such I had to rip them off one to put on the other. While Meso doesn’t always wear glasses in every photo, they seemed to be more constant than not and Meso made no objections that I recall. The hair was easily the hardest part as it isn’t exactly the shape or color but the closest that Meso was content with.

I had picked the face for this one fairly early on and Var seemed to be okay with it. The torso was presented to Var and approved in the absence of a dark grey coat/jacket torso. After that comes the hair piece. Unfortunately, there are no LEGO hair pieces that work perfectly. Originally, Var had chosen the hair piece used by Zane but in black. This current one is from a recent Black Panther set and Var approved its use as it’s more accurate than the one used prior.

I’ve had a few people comment on the hair choice with mine. They often recommend I use the piece that came out recently with the Han Solo minfigures instead, of which I understand and don’t blame them for suggesting. There are a couple issues. First, the piece doesn’t come in dark brown. Second, my hair doesn’t really have a single style - it’s often disheveled, asymmetric, and eccentric. There is no LEGO hair piece that will accurately represent my hair. However, the one I chose comes pretty close for me. I’m content, and the rest is nearly 1:1. I even went out and acquired a Blacktron II ■■■■■ to complete the look.

I believe that Invi once commented that I had in a way mixed a few of his looks. I attempted to go for a relaxed, “formal-casual” look and it seemingly worked out. Invi hasn’t mentioned any issues to me that I can recall, so I’m fairly certain this is acceptable. 
Ven

Initially, this was the only Sig-fig I had not created, having been designed by Ven entirely himself. However, I recently spoke to him and mentioned if I had the chance to create it from the ground up, I’d give it this torso piece. He agreed and so I switched out the torso and added black legs at his suggestion. He’s happy with the changes and it’s been updated with his approval!

Phweff has had no issue with the majority of the minifigure, even if the torso isn’t something in her wardrobe. She even doesn’t mind the hair at all… but she keeps on changing it. Blonde, then silver, and maybe even RED?! PHWEFF, WHY?! WHY DO YOU KEEP DOING THIS?! LEGO DOESN’T MAKE THIS HAIR STYLE IN THOSE COLORS! YOU’RE KILLING ME! I CAN’T KEEP UP! I CAN’T MAKE IT AS ACCURATE AS POSSIB-
Takuma

This was one of the hardest ones to make. LEGO doesn’t really have the face to match Takuma’s unique appearance 1:1, so we had to make some concessions. Despite what the image may suggest, Takuma requested the dark tan hat and graciously accepted the face I eventually was able to find. All in all I think it worked out.
Exxtrooper

I was worried that Exx wouldn’t like the torso I chose, but he was happy with it entirely. I’m happy since I wanted to do Exx’s sig-fig justice. I knew the face and hair would be spot-on for him and I think it especially works since Exx always makes me laugh and I imagine he smiles often, like this sig-fig.
Prpldragon

This one has had the most contention from… not Prpl. Meso has never been happy with any of the hair pieces I’ve presented, while Prpl has been. This was actually a recent change, as I was able to get my hands on a hair piece from LEGO Elves. While Prpl may have preferred the hair style of the original, she chose this over it due to a better color. I ran everything else by her and she seemed content. Over all, I’m happy with how it turned out.

This wasn’t too difficult to assemble. I inquired throughout every step with Matoro and for the most part she was accepting of any of the options. That, of course, did not make it easy to zone in on what she preferred. In the end, the end result she had decided on is what is on the left. I inadvertently also picked up the head shown on the right and thought that’s a tad more accurate to her with glasses on. She didn’t mind it at all, and I opted to include both here.

This one didn’t take too much work to get right, just slight amounts of fine tuning. Originally, this had a different face (no facial hair) and a different torso (light grey hoodie and red ■■■■■) which both got switched for what you see here. Ran it by Kini and he was content with it!

This was easily the hardest of these to make. AT and I worked closely on this in order to make it as accurate as we could. I’m incredibly happy with the end result, and as far as I am aware AT is as well. Now we just need to get him an actual Galidor ■■■■■ like this…
