This is a topic for songs that only happen to come on when you’re around onions. There’s no other reasonable explanation for why your eyes water up when these songs play. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Despite it being one of my favourite songs

The story explained in the lyrics with Major Tom being lost in space kinda made me get onions, but with the passing of David Bowie, it makes me get extra Onions :frowning:

This is Bronte by Gotye. A song about moving on.

The implications are that it’s about a child leaving home, as it seems to be sung from a parent’s point of view.

However, because Gotye and his team are all artistic and stuff, the music video paints a different picture.

And quite frankly, it’s an amazing picture. But then, I’m a sucker for 2D animated things that rely on visuals and music to tell their story, rather than dialogue and all.

This is Honeybee, by the Steam Powered Giraffe, a trio of musically inclined steampunk robot mimes.

This song is fairly basic, at it’s core.

It’s a breakup song, put simply.

But the harmonies, the classic style to it all, it just screams an honest heartache.
