Surprisingly, Cartoon Network has actually been airing The Amazing World of Gumball more than Teen Titans Go lately (which isn’t really a problem for me because the Amazing World of Gumball is/can be actually funny but its still a problem there’s no SU)

Apparently Lapis first appearance was in an anime.
The comparison is neat, but unless Rebecca Sugar admits that Fantaman inspired Lapis’ design, I’ll assume it’s a coincidence. Imagine if SU ripped a design from anything recent. The copyright mafia would be at Ms. Sugar’s throat.
