The Bionicle Legacy 2017 topic

When you really pause and think about the size, speed and sound of a huge vampire bat in real life, I wouldn’t see a ton of “cute”.

I agree; that goes from “cute” to a terror from Karzahni and that wants to eat Okotans.

This is going to sound weird, but Zelkriph would probably make a sound similar to the Tarakava in the MNOG.

well then, their ears go out before they do. Ouch!

Hi I’m back and yes, we could do that. We are only keeping Axato for last.

Alright; could we get a look at Velka next? I’m curious about the back of the figure that we can see in the teaser poster.

May I ask who the project concept artist is; highest compliments and props to them… I’m guessing that the spiral, chain and the sword are nuva-esque symbol ideas. Loving it still. can’t wait to see what’s next.

well, give him my regards on this. I recommend that the stuff that isn’t his own work be cited, to avoid copyright based issues.

it could as you said that some of the pieces were “definitely” not his. someone could press charges. I only said the copyright stuff because I don’t want this thing torn down by such issues, especially after all the hard work you and the rest of the project team put into it.

I understand your concern but I don’t think anyone is going to be too bothered since all the art is going to the same goal, plus we’ve incorporated bits of it into everything so nothing goes unused. Additionally i stand by using definitely since I remember Vakota drew some art.

All the concept art or work done for the project can be shared unless the author explicitly said that don’t want his work to be used or shared. We will give all the credits at the end when all the sets have building instructions. In the meantime I think the symbols were made by Tawa of Fire but I’m not 100% sure.

Hello guys sorry its been a while but here the instructions for our fifth set, Velka General of Stone (as requested by @Azani)

As usual give your thoughts. Before we were asked if we didn’t mind reviews of these sets being posted on the boards, of course we don’t, in fact we encourage but only if people want to.

And here’s some concept art:

Cheers everyone. So far the feedback on this project has been fantastic and we have taken it all on board; we hope this continue and hope you guys are enjoying everything we’ve done so far, have you?

Alright, so I think I can safely say that we have been enjoying this.

As for Velka: Overall the set looks pretty good. But it definitely has too many colors. The weapons also look kinda weak. But the build is really interesting and overall the model is pretty alright.

This one is nice too, but the general of water is still my favorite.
This MOC (or should I call it a set? I don’t know) has definitely too many colors though.

Up to you I guess

I’ll call it a set, then!
Honestly your investment in this project is amazing, and so far I love it. Keep up this great work!

it has way too many shades of brown, 4 shades of brown is way too much, but yeah

The artist wasn’t me, however I can explain that those “nuva” symbols were an idea that we played around with. Basically there was an idea of placing a symbol on top of the generals’ masks that corresponded to their abilities/weapons.
