The Last Resistance (Earth)

He pointed at the ground with his hand and the ground started to shake some. “Mother Gaia!” He calls, and the ground underneath him and his enemies broke up and started floating into the air, aided by pure Venus energy that would hurt anyone who wasn’t a Venus Adept, but got caught in it, meaning all the people attacking him.

The bandits were killed by Jeff’s attack. “Thanks.” said one of the soldiers. “Where did you learn to do all that crazy stuff?” he asked him.

“In Weyard, It is something you acquire more than learn. Spend enough time around Psynergy, specifically Psynergy Stones, and you’ll develop some as well. Of course, you have to hone your skills to get this powerful, but my point still stands.

“Sounds like cool place.” the soldier said.

The group eventually arrived at the ruins of a crumbled building. “Alright, everyone. Stay cautious. The structures in this building could collapse on or under us.” A soldier said, leading the group slowly into the gaping hole where the door was once.

“Caution? Never heard of it,” Marissa quips. “What exactly are we here for, again?” She moves in spurts, staying still for seconds before darting to a new spot.

“We have intel that the aliens- whatever they are, are setting up a camp somewhere nearby.” a soldier said, steeping over debris and rubbel. It appeared that they were in what was once an office building.

Jeff looked around for anything noteworthy.

One soldier thought he saw something move out the corner of his eye, but ignored it. The group entered a borken down, decomissioned elevator. As it descended, a soldier turned to Marissa. “So, where did you learn to do all that crazy sword stuff?” he asked her.

“What, you can’t impale an opponent from twenty meters?” She’s leaning against the wall, almost casually. Her eyes are closed.

"Nope." The Soldier said Sarcastically. The elevator landed and opened. They were now in a dark, cavernous area.

Something slimy brushed Jeff’s shoulder.

Jeff jumps away from it and whips out his hook, swinging it defensively in front of him.

Jeff would find nothing behind him. Suddenly, a soldier was smacked away by a tentacle. The other soldiers began to shoot around wildly.“Oh shi-” a tentacle impaled one of the soldiers, and he was sent flying. A large Xir’algath warrior revealed himself to be the owner of the tentacles. “So this is what they look like!” One soldier said. The Xir’algath shot his tentacles towards Jeff.

Jeff rolled out of the way, then pointed his hand towards the beast. “Crush!” He yells.

The ones who’d been around him for the past few months would see two giant white glove-like hands form above the beast, then come down to crush it with enough power to crack the ground below. The others would only see the effects of this action though.

“Woah!” Justin said as Jeff attacked the Xir’algath. It was flattened to the ground like a pancake, but then bounced back like jelly. The Xir’algath shot at Jeff with its laser blaster.

He rolled to the side. “Spire!” He called, and a large spire of stone materialized between the group and the Xir’algath. “Go, it won’t hold long!” He calls as he starts running in the other direction.

Just nodded and began to run. However, the soldiers continued to stick around, trying to kill the Xir’algath with their guns.

Marissa sighs. “Gonna make me do everything myself, huh?” She raises a hand, sending a heat ray for the biggest target she can find: the alien’s torso. A slight haze marks the path of the beam, passing by the soldiers and heating the extraterrestrial’s armor where it makes contact.

The Xir’algath’s torso began to boil from the heat. It exploded at its middle, the two halves of the body laying on the ground, squirming.Suddenly, the two halves wriggled back together, reforming into one being. The Xir’algath form its hand into a long blade and swung at Jeff. @Runa

Jeff held up his hands. “Excalibur!” He called as a sword of orange-brown energy formed in his hands, like a smaller form of Ragnarok, and he blocked the blow with his own new blade.

The two blades met, followed by a spark of electricity.

The Xir’algath formed his other arm into a blade as well, swinging it towards Marissa.
