Transformers: Salvation

SideStep fires again.
“Just near the bridge!” He yekled into his comm.

As the terrorcons scramble madly up the cable, they push some of their brethren off into space. Swarms of the undead were beginning to gather around the base of the other four anchors on the cruiser, as well.

A brutish terrorcon Knight, possessing alt-mode components suggesting a draconic alt-mode, lumbers past, taking no notice of Zepar. It may notice Gronius, however, if he had not followed Zepar down the side corridor (@Toa_Vladin)

The shot takes off a good chunk of the left part of the terrorcon’s face. The zombie growls and lurches toward SideStep, thrusting out its claws.

SideStep rolls forwards, slides under the terrorcon, and slashes upwards with his axe.

The terrorcon is thus bisected. Its two halves fall to the floor and go limp.

SideStep stands up, breathing heavily. He puts away his pistol and searches for the components.
“This better be worth it.” He growled angrily.

The components were likely to be found either in the cargo hold, or the cruiser’s medbay… wherever those were aboard the ship.

“They’re zombies!” Flyby exclaims. “How in the Pit do they know how to board starships?”

“We can theorize after we’ve sent them back to the afterlife!” Topside insists.

From her station, Breakswitch detects thirty-two incoming warships decelerating from FTL speeds.

“Oh, you have to be joking!” she hisses, cursing our heroes’ misfortune.

Epsilon opened fire on any Terrorcons that got too close.

Zepar held his breath as the monster passed.

Epsilon’s fire produces a storm of flying metal and Dark Energon as many a terrorcon is ripped apart by the oncoming hailstorm. The cable shakes and sways, throwing off many more, though others continue to climb upward, using the undead in front of them as shields.

The large terrorcon takes no notice of Zepar.

SideStep made his way through the halls, looking for rooms that fit the description.

SideStep passes some of the crew’s quarters, which were in just as much ruin as the rest of the ship. He was not headed toward either of his desired destinations, however- he was unknowingly on an intercept course for Zepar.

One hab-suite down the hall contained a terrorcon occupant: an undead dragon Knight who promptly launches a ball of plasmic Dark Energon at SideStep upon taking sight of him.

SideStep takes the hit, slamming against the wall.
He groaned and shot at the terrorcon.

Seeing that Gronius followed Zepar, the monster does not notice him.

Zepar marched onward, wanting to get off this foul place as soon as possible.

Epsilon kept firing on the Terrorcons, yelling and screaming in terror as he saw them advancing. “I could really use some help over here!” He called on the comlink.

The wound burns painfully as the Dark Energon reacts with SideStep’s system.

The terrorcon dragon is shot in the snout, eliciting a roar of pain and fury as the beast rears onto its hind legs and claws at the air.

Gronius and Zepar happen upon SideStep, who was being menaced by a large undead dragon Knight.

Zepar’s fire destroys many terrorcons, but others still were climbing up the cable, quickly advancing.

The bridge crew works to sort out damage reports and comm traffic as squadrons take position around the hull breaches and engage the incoming terrorcon swarms crawling up the cruiser’s anchor cables.

“Y’know, the only thing that could make this situation worse was if-” Broadband begins to tempt fate, before being cut off as fate rises to the challenge.

The thirty-two warships of the Twenty-sixth Decepticon fleet snap into view on the other side of the cruiser, assuming a battle formation with the Armageddon at its heart. Senors flare and blare alarms as Salvation detects the heretics’ weapons charging up.

That!” Broadband exclaims, throwing her up her hands. “That exactly!”

Zepar opens fire on the undead dragon Knight, seeming very annoyed and angry that this delay was a higher priority than getting off the derelict.

Gronius seemed hesitant to shoot another one of his kind, but when he saw Zepar not having any mercy, he shrugged and loaded one of his shotguns.

Song’s eye slowly opened when she felt commotions all around the ship.
“What is happening?” she asked.

Alterion was pushing Redstocker towards the nearest front of Terrorcons.
“Here we go again!” Redstocker said, taking his shotgun.
“No, Captain. Wait.”
“Oh, come on, Mister Alterion!”
“Those are zombies, Captain!” Alterion said exasperated.
“Exactly!”
Delta was not too far away by them in her robot mode. She took her gun and loaded it. She had zero experience of fighting in this new body, but this didn’t mean that she could not try.

SideStep growled in pain, as he fired at the dragon.

The two blasts blow apart the head of the dragon Knight terrorcon, however that does not slay the beast. The undead warrior reverts to what was left of its robot mode- a four-armed giant holding an immense broadsword in two of its hands. It throws its head back and roars defiantly.

“Alert,” Motherboard drones over the intercom, “hull breaches detected on Deck 1; Deck 1, sublevels 1 and 2; Deck 3; and Deck 5. Terrorcon presence detected. Danger of boarding imminent.”

“Alert: hostile Decepticon presence detected. All hands, assume battle stations.”

That would be the hull breach on Deck 5. Terrorcons had climbed up the cruiser’s anchor cable and were now aboard, overwhelming the squadron assigned to keep the undead at bay.

Salvation and the Twenty-sixth begin to trade fire. Outnumbered though she was, the Fleetcarrier was still able to put up a good fight against her adversaries. The assault ships begin to move to flank her, while the Death’s Head approaches the derelict cruiser.

Zepar engages the Terrorcon, fighting like some kind of beast.

The terrorcon swings its blade at Zepar’s midsection, aiming to cut the angelicon in half.
