I’m not sure if this counts as “crossover”…
but how about Bionicle Darks Souls style.
Meaning, the story is told in a similar way that is slightly vague, but gives you enough info to have something to grasp onto, giving you an awesome feeling of mystery.
Still perhaps the same story of Bionicle, (G1 mind you) just told through very hard to figure out ways.

Transformers and Bionicle- See above, but replace Galactus with Unicron
Halo and Bionicle- with the Great Beings as the Precursors

Marvel and DC- obvious reasons, everyone wants to see that
Every franchise that has ever involved giant robots- Let oil and shrapnel rain from the skies in a storm of glorious mechanical carnage!
