It’s explicitly stated that he has no powers, and the only thing he does to help the crew is almost punch someone in the face. Even that could’ve been accomplished by Spiriah shape-shifted into a smaller form. When this is asked in the story, all we get is the (presumably) sarcastic “he breaks the monotony”.

There’s always the idea that he was supposed to be cannon fodder; maybe even with the hopes of him dying by the end.

Greg has stated that, since Vezon’s powers are ambiguous to any Makuta or other enemy, he could have been potentially useful in a situation where bluffing became necessary
