Well, short answer, she is from an alternate reality where Gwen Stacy was bitten by the Radioactive Spider instead of Peter Parker. She becomes known as Spider-Woman, but her comic is just titled Spider-Gwen. She’s really cool, and her costume is one of my favorite costumes currently in comics.

She is very cool, but what happened with Peter?
Oh, um, he turned into the that universe’s version of the Lizard, they battled, and he got killed. So, Peter Parker is dead and gone in that universe.
I can’t imagine Peter as the Lizard…
Just took one easy search. Needless to say she has one of my favorite costumes for a Spider-Man character.

Those are really my favorites for superheroes. As for villains I could make a longer list.
Spider-Gwen is now my 11th favorite hero.
