Lego Star Wars Constraction Figures Discussion

Not to mention that the bottom of the shell is there under the add-on. I wouldn’t expect them to have that if it was all one piece.

Those pieces could be used for a Turaga Vakama revamp’s robes… I wanna do that. Time to get bricklink

I wonder if Chewing will have some sort of function?

I’m looking at Chewie, and his torso construction looks very unique. It looks like it may be this piece:

with a ton of technic add ons. Can’t wait to see for sure.

Hope it is similar to Grevious’s. I need more ccbs bones.

A chewing function! That’s it! I’ve found it!

Despite the fact that it’s a 35 USD set, I suspect that the reverse of the primary box art would have shown off a technic-based function if one existed; assuming that we’re not taking the bow into account here. His shoulders may have something going on; they connect with glatorian necks.

Since these HD Photos seem pretty final, I guess I’ll just give my thoughts.

Elite Tie Fighter Pilot - The only thing of interest is the blank black torso. It’s a trooper build with an ugly Poe Dameron-like build. It’s just filler.

Rey - While it’s nothing new, it’s a great update to the original. There are some interesting recolors, and some cloth as well.

Elite Praetorian Guard - Probably my favorite from this wave. He’s definitely interesting, both set and parts wise. He has a function that may work like the old Rahkshi one. He also has some nice recolors, and new Knights Kingdom-like shoulder pads. And the figure itself has a solid build from the looks of it.

Chewbacca - There are things I can appreciate from this. First off, the build isn’t cookie cutter. It has a lot of intersting build. He also has a plethora of brown recolors.

That said, the build doesn’t look that great. The size is impressive, but it sacrifices so much for it. The build looks so stretched, and severely gappy. The only angle this looks great from would be from the side.

no, skull basher didn’t work exactly like the rahkshi.

the rahkshi shoulders workedby swining back and forth on 1 axis. skull basher works completely differently. his shoulders swing individually, which allows them to both move forward at the same time.

What I mean by Rahkshi function is that it looks to have a similar action, with the arms swinging from side to side.

I saw TTV reported on the final images on there channel so I guess it’s safe to post them now.

One thing to note that the box is larger than the bunch and the site list him as the most expensive in the wave. This likely means Chewbacca is $30 which sucks from today standards, people can justify it’s due to the prints and convenient torso build; still arguably expensive.

I didn’t say that; for the record, I said the opposite. Please refer to the context.

He is 35€/USD. That said, the TIE Pilot is only 20€/USD!

Here’s my gallery if anyone would like to view them all in one place: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B8ACV51o16wRVDFVVHNQdFJSclk?usp=sharing

Both the Red Guard and Rey have action functions (Red dude has one neat one that Bionicle could have used if not RIP in the second year), so I can understand far more why both of them are 25 dollars and the pilot with no functions is 20 dollars…now Chewie does not have any action function worthy of his price and should have been at the most 25 dollars due to the larger parts, specially not 30 dollars, no matter the prints.

Chewie looks great, the best of them all, but he is not 30 dollars.

Here’s some advice for the prices. Wait til some sellers get them on Bricklink. I’ve seem and bought sealed Star Wars figures for cheap. Recently I bought K2So for $8, and saw the speeder bike for about $30. I’m not getting my hopes down because of the prices here.

Sets in my country never go so low in price without some additional sales thing like you need to buy sets of this theme for a certain amount to get these sets for this lower sale price…or the prices in general go lower after some time to clean up shelves, but even then they dont lower the price to a considerable amount (in fact they lower them to standard US prices for those sets for the most part).

Wait, what? I thought Rey was the $20 one. :fearful:

she probably is also 20€

the guard also seems to be 20€, he is quite simple, but they are going to raise the price just because of the function
