Okotan Adventures: Spider Saga

Dakron stepped away. His face showed hurt and betrayal.
“What do you mean, ‘not our fight’? We have as much right to help out as you do!” Streke complained.

Using his staff as a high-jump pole of sorts, the man jumped up and tried kicking Storm in the face.

Keya heard no shot. She looked at her gun and cursed silently: It had jammed. She brings it down and hits the body of the gun once or twice, then aims again, silently cursing this freak of a newcomer as well for getting in the way of her getting a good shot.

The axe was massive. Hooking it sent Dakron reeling.

“Justice has fallen.” He hissed, jumping into the air and bringing his fist down on the steps, sending a massive splintering crack through them… Right as the strange newcomer’s foot was in the way.

“I just don’t want you to get hurt.” He said. “I couldn’t live with myself if someone got hurt because of something I have complete control over.”

Blaze dives to tackle the stranger away from the attack. He tries to mentally prepare for the worst.

Then let me be the only thing you take out your revenge on. he thought as he moved. He committed a serious taboo of mask making, he may as well pay the price.

Dakron staggered as the axe flew away.
He regained his balance and charged Storm.
“Blaze,” Streke started, “We’ll be fine. You haven’t given us a chance. Just wait and see.”
He charged after Dakron.

The tip of the staff fell into the crack, making him slip. He fell and tumbled back, getting back to his feet and pulling the staff up out of the crack. He then hopped off to the side of the steps, heading up the hill beside them, trying to get above Storm.

Keya sighed in relief as she took aim at Storm’s neck once again and fired.

The Storm began slinging ice spike after ice spike at Dakron to ward him off - he was going to find him in a disagreeable mood if he advanced further. Then the shot came - thanks to his constant twisting to fling ice spikes it grazed his neck armour - but it was more than enough to spook him into teleporting. Now at the top of the steps, his eyes tried desperately to see down, down into the city below, as to who his assailant could be.

He might see a glint of blue on top of a building below, reflecting off of Keya’s sight as she adjusted her aim.

The man ran up beside the distracted storm and tried to sweep his legs out from beneath him, using his staff in his powerful arm.

The Storm felt a powerful whack as the man’s stick slammed into his massive leg. It still managed to hurt, even through the armour.

Spinning around to face him, the Storm recalled there was someone attempting to shoot him and was doing a fine job of it. He therefore teleported inside the entrance of the forge.

Atlas attempts to hit The Storm with his hammer again, although he throws it instead of swinging it.

Dakron swung his scythe, deflecting all of the spikes. He turned and swung a great arc towards Storm.
Streke followed with a swing of his sword.

The Storm was initially impressed that Dakron had managed to deflect gigantic ice spikes going at a decent speed by swinging a farming instrument, although not as impressed as he was by Atlas throwing his hammer up the entirety of the stars to the forge. But none of that mattered.

Slamming his axe into the ground, the Storm erected a thick ice barrier in the entrance to the forge, which would be more than enough to keep his attackers at bay.

Dakron hit the ice and fell down.

Hitora ran up the steps, having been climbing up after him, and starts punching it. It wasn’t enough force to break right away, unfortunately, but keeping it up would definitely compromise the structural integrity of the ice.

Meanwhile, the newcomer goes around the sides, looking for windows.

Keya aims through a window, hoping that Storm would just so happen to go by it.

Symphony walks out of his alley way, near the Forge, and calls out to Storm [@Ghid] ,
“So, I take it that someone took your muffin as well!”
He smiles crazily,
“Because I would be guilty.”
He teleports closer, behind Storm, and attempts a strike and Storm’s ankle.

Sonata bursts through Melody’s house door and sees Dax and Aiya safe. She grabs Aiya and tells Dax to bring her her staff. her staff was a metal staff completely solid and quite dense. Dax does so and they leave the house heading away from the commotion.

Capella notes that the commotion moved towards the Forge. Andhera nods from a dark alleyway. He says to Capella,
“I’ll go ahead, it might be too much for you.”
He disappears and teleports repeatedly until he arrives at a wall of the Forge facing away from the sun. He walks out, a shadowed haze in the sunlight, red eyes glowing with mysterious intent. He walks towards the ice barrier,
“To whom do I speak to? A beast or a mild being?”
His question was meant to provoke the thing behind the ice, while he searched the minds of those nearby, that he could see. Such an action would give the people he tried to search a slight shiver, though the reason would be unknown, unless they were telepathic as well… Though his shadowy haze appearance would strikingly resemble a form Makuta once took, if they saw a form like it.

Hitora might find it hard to punch the ice now that Andhera was walking directly in his way. And it was far too thick for the Storm to hear any comment through - even if it wasn’t, he was too preoccupied with slamming the flat of his battleaxe into Symphony’s incoming attack.

With his back to the stairwell, the Storm had no knowledge of Ekimu’s impending presence.

Symphony disappears,
“Seriously, who took your muffin?”
He appears several feet away. His sword was cracked from Storm’s heavy axe. Symphony’s eyes showed intense focus, despite his current jokes and cracked sword.

Just sayin’

IC: Hitora, still angered, keeps punching.

Vra’axinni, the name of the strange man, kept looking for a window to sneak in through. Eventually he found one, and peered through to see if he could be seen by the Storm.

And it would be for this reason that the first indication he would have of Ekimu’s presence would be the impact of his hammer on the back of his head, a blow practiced many times on the heads of many an opponent. Ekimu couldn’t help but feel a small pang of sympathy for the Lord of the Storm; that would hurt in the morning.

The Storm had turned to look at the teleported Symphony when the world went white.

The massive body of the Lord of the Storm shot through the ice wall with a thundering crash, knocking aside all foolish enough to still be hammering away at it. He caught on the massive gash he had created before, sending him into a tumbling spiral.
Gaining speed constantly, he landed face-first at the bottom of the steps with a massive thud and lay motionless, a small crater where his head had found its spot.

Gladius very slowly walked forward enough to see what had become of him. With a silent air he observed the unconscious figure far down below who would no doubt be regretting many of his life choices next time he was conscious. Then the sight of all that occured had caught his eye - craters everywhere, rows of ice spikes and frozen trees lining the streets, and-

And there was Blaze, at the foot of the steps, prepped for battle.
